Future plans include to build and support a children's home in the area we are presently working. There are hundreds of children who are not adequately cared for because of poverty, war, and abuse.
Currently we have 9 children we are caring for in our home.
Five of these are orphans from one family; we now have court custody of
them. One girl from a tsunami affected family, Pushpalogini, who is now
working with us in the ministry. One young teenage girl who is now
living in a Christian hostel and a niece and nephew whose father is
abusive.
Lamplighters World Ministries primary goal is to go to countries where
the gospel has not been preached, or limited work has been done to
establish Churches in those countries. Founders Steve and Shanthi
Bycroft work with the people of Sri Lanka.
